Our Care Services
Enhancing Independence & Wellness
At Addington Place, residents receive tailored care in order to live as independently as possible. Care services include support with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, and hygiene. Our knowledgeable team members coordinate with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals.
Short-Term Respite Care
Temporary care is available for residents who may need assistance after a hospital or rehab stay, or when caregivers plan a vacation or just need some time to relax and recharge. You will receive all of the amenities and care that you need, but for a shorter, predetermined length of stay.

Life Enrichment
Our Life Enrichment Programming puts your passions front and center! Crafted around resident input, it ensures the well-being of our residents by addressing the mind, body, and soul.
Through weekly outings to local restaurants, shopping trips, and outdoor activities, residents cultivate meaningful relationships while staying connected to the local community of Addington Place. At every stage of life, we want to continue to nurture a sense of purpose, inspiring residents to engage in various events.
The dynamic programming at Addington Place not only keeps residents vibrant but also deeply connected to the surrounding community. Our daily activities are inspired by our residents so they may continue to lead fulfilling and active lives.

📚❤️ A Visit From Some Very Special 6th Graders! ❤️📚
On Wednesday, the Residents at Addington Place Gibson City had the honor of welcoming one of the GCMS 6th Grade Classes for a visit over lunchtime!
These students came prepared! They brought questions, drawings, big smiles, lots of energy, and even a couple of them showed our Residents how they do their push-ups! 💪😄
What a refreshing afternoon it was! The energy and excitement of these students brought back so many memories for our Residents of when they were that age. ❤️
These visits are such a wonderful experience for both our Residents and the students. They get to talk about how things were when our Residents were growing up and compare that to what life is like for students today. Our Residents can share stories and wisdom from their lives, while the students share their experiences and what life is like for them.
And the best part? Good Ol’ Face-to-Face Conversation! 🗣️❤️
No texting.
No FaceTime.
No screens.
Just sitting together, asking questions, sharing stories, laughing and getting to know one another!
There is so much that can be learned when generations take the time to listen to each other. 📖❤️
Every Wednesday, we get to welcome a 6th Grade class from GCMS Middle School, and it has proven to be both educational AND enjoyable for our Residents and the students!
A HUGE THANK YOU to the 6th Graders and their teachers for spending time with our Residents. We look forward to welcoming all of the GCMS 6th Grade Students throughout the year!

🍂🍁 Fall Has Arrived at Addington Place! 🍁🍂
Today we had a very special visitor, Lynn Meece, who came to share her decorating talents with us! ❤️
Lynn used to be a cook here at Addington Place. Although she has retired, she hasn’t retired from loving our Residents! 🥰 Lynn continues to come back to visit, and every month she volunteers her time to decorate our food bar.
Our Residents get so much joy from seeing the decorations change with the seasons, and we are so thankful that Lynn continues to share her time, talents, and love with our Addington family! 🍂❤️

Addington Place would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Kristy, Chris’s wife, for bringing Bella to visit with our Residents! 🥰
Our Residents absolutely loved spending time with Bella. They enjoyed petting her, giving her lots of attention, and watching her happily soak up all the love.
And Bella loved being petted just as much as our Residents loved petting her! 🐶❤️
It was truly a WIN-WIN for everyone!

Michelle tells us that she loves watching our posts about our Residents. She enjoys learning about their stories, seeing the things they do, and being part of our Addington Place community from afar. 🥰
Michelle recently asked if we would be interested in some flower arrangements she had made with her Cricut cutter. Of course, we said YES! 🌸
Now here’s the fun part… these beautiful flowers are made completely out of PAPER! 😲🌷
Michelle has some serious talent!
I decided not to tell our Residents about the flowers ahead of time. Instead, I placed the beautiful arrangements throughout our 4 Seasons Room, on the fireplace, and on tables in the lobby.
Well… LET’S JUST SAY THEY GOT NOTICED! 😂❤️
Our Residents were so excited to see the beautiful flowers and even more amazed when they found out they were made from paper! They couldn’t believe the detail and creativity that went into making them.
Michelle, thank you for sharing your time, creativity, and talents with our Residents! Your beautiful flowers have already brought smiles to so many faces, and we know they will be enjoyed for a long time to come. 🌸❤️
